Double Shot Contest – Official Rules

1. Eligibility

• Photography Workshop: Open to adults (18+) worldwide. 
• Distillery Days Weekend: Open to adults (18+) worldwide. Must be based in Croatia during the program dates (end November 2025). 
• Employees, contractors, and immediate family of the organizers or partners are not eligible. 
• By entering, participants confirm they are available to attend the program on the specified dates (Photography workshop: 22–30 November 2025) and (Disitillery Weekend: 28–30 November 2025). 

2. How to Enter

Photography Workshop Contest

• Submit one photo you have taken. 
• Along with your entry, provide a short text (max. 100 words) telling the story behind the photo and why you should be chosen for the workshop. 
• Winners receive a +1 guest spot (fees may apply), 1 week coliving accommodation at specified venue, and up to a €250 travel stipend paid within 7 days after attendance at the program. 

Distillery Weekend Contest

• Submit a short written response (max. 100 words) to the theme:
  “A toast to Central Istria – why you should be chosen to experience the spirits of Central Istria at the Distillery Days.” 
• Winners receive a +1 guest spot (fees may apply), coliving accommodation at specified venue, and a €50 travel stipend. 

Entries must be submitted via online entries only by 20 October 2025, 23:59 CET.

3. Selection Process

• A judging panel made up of representatives from the Tourist Board and DNA Croatia will review entries. 
• Criteria: 
  • Creativity & originality (40%) 
  • Relevance to theme (30%) 
  • Storytelling impact (20%) 
  • Feasibility/availability to attend (10%) 
• The panel’s decision is final. 

4. Prizes

Photography Workshop Winners (2)

• Private photography workshop in either Food or Landscape genre. 
• Accommodation for two (winner + guest). 
• Up to €250 travel stipend paid 7 days after attendance. 
• Participation in the Double Shot showcase and exhibition and opportunity to feature work in Tourist Board and DNA Croatia promotional materials. 

Distillery Weekend Winners (2)

• Weekend access to Central Istria Distillery Days. 
• Accommodation for two (winner + guest). 
• €50 travel stipend. 

No cash alternative. Prizes are non-transferable.

5. Winner Notification

• Winners will be notified via email and/or phone by 26 October 2025. 
• Winners must confirm acceptance within 5 days of notification, otherwise another entrant may be selected. 

6. Rights & Responsibilities

• By entering, participants grant the organizers the right to use submitted materials (photos, texts, and event documentation) for promotional purposes. 
• Winners must agree to participate in reasonable publicity, including photography, video, and interviews. 
• Winners agree to sign a waiver and release form and declare they are fit to participate in physical activities.
• Travel and other costs beyond the stipend are the responsibility of the winners. 
• Organizers reserve the right to modify or cancel the contest if circumstances require. 

7. Organizer

This contest is organized by DNA Croatia and the Tourist Board of Central Istria, in collaboration with workshop leaders.

8. This is a game of skill and not chance. The governing law is that of the Republic of Croatia.
