In the second episode of our Walk & Work Croatia series, we head to Mljet National Park with digital nomad Alyssa Yap to explore how remote work meets natural serenity on this idyllic Adriatic island.
Episode 2 of Walk & Work Croatia takes you to the lush and tranquil surroundings of Mljet National Park, one of Croatia’s most breathtaking islands. This time, we follow digital nomad Alyssa Yap as she immerses herself in the peaceful rhythms of remote life in nature—where island trails, saltwater lakes, and forest canopies shape the perfect environment for inspiration and deep work.
Located just a ferry ride away from Dubrovnik, Mljet is Croatia’s greenest island, known for its untouched natural beauty, serene hiking paths, and the famous Great and Small Lakes. With only a handful of small villages and very little traffic, the park provides the ultimate retreat for digital nomads and remote workers who seek focus, mindfulness, and reconnection with nature.
🧘♀️ Alyssa shares her reflections on the island’s power to help you slow down and truly focus, while still getting work done on her laptop under the shade of pines or by the peaceful lakeside. Whether it’s starting the morning with a walk through the woods or logging on with a view of the monastery on St. Mary’s islet, Mljet shows us how remote work can be more balanced, intentional, and grounded.
This episode is a reminder that work doesn’t have to come at the expense of well-being. Sometimes, you just need the right setting—and Mljet is exactly that.
