The Winners of the Central Istria Gourmet Getaway have been unveiled! Discover the seven talented individuals heading to Central Istria for a month of workation bliss!
The Central Istria Gourmet Getaway has created quite a buzz in the digital nomad community, and we’re thrilled to announce the lucky winners who will be immersing themselves in this unique workation experience. From November 3rd to December 3rd, 2023, seven remarkable individuals will call a charming rural coliving villa in Central Istria, Croatia, their temporary home.
Meet the Winners:
- Danielle Farage – A Gen Z Futurist, educator, and community builder. She’s set to work on her book, aiming to communicate through “Danielleisms” and “Friendtorships” to enhance conscious thinking and relationship building.
- Yuval Ackerman – A pasta-obsessive storyteller, Yuval will share her journey discovering local cuisine in Istria through posts and emails, using her unique analogies to dive into deeper topics.
- Lizzy Komen – An Amsterdam-based food photographer and recipe developer, working on her first cookbook with food photography and videos. She aims to capture mouthwatering images and share her culinary passion.
- Paul Bradbury – The creator of Total Croatia News, Paul will craft a series of four videos showcasing Croatia’s lesser-known destinations and festivals, sharing the beauty and lifestyle of Central Istria.
- Shaun Busuttil – A seasoned digital nomad and writer, Shaun will compose an academic journal on the “commodification of community” in the digital nomad space, contributing to the discourse on digital nomadism.
- Nilesh Pandey – A tech founder and entrepreneur, Nilesh will explore the culture, food, and friendships in Central Istria while working on his latest project, bringing innovation to the region.
- Ali Greene – A Remote Work Leader, Advocate, and Speaker, Ali is on a mission to empower people and companies to thrive through flexible work. She’ll continue her work remotely while enjoying the Istrian environment.
The Central Istria Gourmet Getaway is a month-long workation curated for digital nomads of all levels. The picturesque and serene rural setting provides ample focus time, complemented by a range of activities including workshops, culinary masterclasses, and authentic experiences in the Istrian Peninsula’s charming interior.
Every weekday, winners will have dedicated focus time in the coliving villa or coworking space. Wednesdays will feature enriching workshops on local niche tourism, anthropology for digital nomads, and mentor sessions of their choice. Fridays will see the winners enjoy “Nomad Table” dinners at local konobas, while Saturdays offer the chance to learn local culinary crafts at four gourmet masterclasses. Sundays are free days to explore the beauty of Central Istria.
