Imagine you knew almost nothing about Zagreb, apart from the fact that it was the Croatian capital, and then won a competition to become the city’s first digital nomad ambassador.
That was what happened to New Yorker Veronica Mulhall, who is loosely based in Africa with partner Julian, when they chanced upon the Zagreb Digital Nomad Ambassador Project while working remotely on the Adriatic coast.
What Veronica did not know before she arrived, she more than made up for during an energetic month in Zagreb, where she walked, walked, walked, and ate, ate, ate. Probably walking off all that she ate in Zagreb’s beautiful parks as she prepared for her next challenge after Croatia – climbing Mount Kilimanjaro.
Towards the end of her stay, Veronica painted a mural of thanks to Zagreb in Art Park Ribnjak, as well as giving an extensive interview to Total Croatia News about the joys of Zagreb, a city the couple have not only fallen in love with, but are actively considering buying property in.
