[Central Istria, Croatia, September 2024] – A global community of digital nomads will converge on the scenic Istrian peninsula for the ViNomad retreat, a week-long event combining remote work with immersive wine experiences in one of Croatia’s most picturesque regions. From 30 September to 6 October 2024, participants will enjoy a unique blend of productivity, professional development, and relaxation, set against the backdrop of Central Istria’s stunning vineyards and rolling hills.
Initiated by the Central Istrian Tourism Board, ViNomad celebrates the region’s commitment to “slow, active, and green tourism”, while showcasing its potential as a haven for remote workers seeking a more mindful, balanced lifestyle. The program offers a taste of authentic Istria through wine tastings, local cuisine, outdoor activities, and workshops in unique multi-use spaces and comfortable tent-loft accommodation at the family-run Banki Green Village.
In addition to creating an unforgettable experience for participants, the program aims to educate local hosts on how to capitalize on the rising demand for long-stay accommodation among remote workers. Under the direction of the Central Istria Tourist Board, the initiative is supported by the Digital Nomad Association (DNA) Croatia, Saltwater Nomads, and co-funded by the Croatian National Tourist Board. It is supported by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports.
Sanja Kantaruti, Director of the Central Istria Tourist Board, said:
“The remote worker market brings both economic and community benefits. We are excited to collaborate with such prominent figures in the global digital nomad movement and look forward to continuing to grow this initiative.”
