It all started on June 10th with registrations over cocktails in Garden Lounge and continued with a Saltwater Nomad Table dinner in the heart of Zadar. What followed was a week intertwined with sessions covering hot topics in the digital nomad world and activities to invigorate mind, body, and soul.
Activities
During the week, attendees enjoyed a city-wide scavenger hunt with a prize being a gourmet picnic in a hidden seafront park, early morning was dedicated to a Fitness Masterclass with Rudi Witkowsky, and days were filled by the sunset loop tour from the Zadar Sea Organ, mud baths in Nin, outdoor excursion to lake Vrana for keynote on a kayak by Michael Freer, enjoying one of the most beautiful sunsets in the world with a special Sunset DJ Set by DJ Viktoria, and the cherry on top was the overnight hike up Paklenica.
Sessions
The long list of sessions covered topics from starting your business, taxes, branding, monetizing your creative outlets, sustainability, gender equality, community building, and the relationship between locals and nomads. Rewatch the sessions through this link and find out all the key information about being a digital nomad, even during the war times with special input by Orest Zub from Ukraine. For everyone with an adventurous spirit, make sure not to miss “Antarctic guide” by an academic come writer, Dr. Diane Erceg.
Zadar Digital Nomad Week offered a space for knowledge exchange without forgetting the importance of balancing out serious notes with nature, fun, and adventure activities that shows a great example of what we should strive for when leveling our work and free time. Granted, we will not always be able to enjoy the sunset with musical background or end our day with some natural mud baths on the beach, but we can always set aside enough time to recharge and relax.
While still feeling the good vibes from Zadar, we are looking forward to the next digital nomad week in…Zagreb. See you in the fall!
